Accountant – Full-time, Permanent – #19-34

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of finance and accounting services including reporting, analysis, monitoring controls/performance and developing policies/procedures in accordance with applicable accounting standards, legislation, regulations and best practices. This includes monthly/quarterly and annual reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting; developing and enforcing policies and procedures and supporting the Finance department in the achievement of the objectives and delivery of finance services.

Compliance Analyst – Full-time, Permanent – #19-18

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Analyst is responsible for helping to ensure all persons and companies engaged in the reserved practices of professional engineering and geoscience, holding out as able to practice, or using titles or words reserved exclusively for APEGA members are appropriately licensed or permitted to do so. The Compliance Analyst also investigates complaints involving ASET members and ASET permit holder companies who may be engaged in practice outside of their scope of practice, or using reserved titles reserved for APEGA professional members and APEGA permit holder companies.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Practice Advisor – Full-time, Permanent – #19-26

Location: Edmonton or Calgary

Reporting to the CPD Manager, the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Practice Advisor assures that a high quality of ethical and professional practice is maintained across the professions through the following functions:

  • Verifying licensed professional compliance with the CPD Program
  • Licensure administration of individual changes in practice status

Discipline Coordinator – Full-time, Permanent – #19-19

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Director, Enforcement, the Discipline Coordinator is responsible for coordinating discipline processes for APEGA resulting from disciplinary actions as outlined in Part 5 Discipline of the EGP Act and Part 6 of the General Regulations. This includes case management, case filing, document management, volunteer management, event and hearing coordination, statistics and metrics compilation, letter/email preparation and mail outs, minute taking and agenda preparation, preparation of presentation materials, policy and standards research and development, and stakeholder coordination, communication, and management.

Executive Assistant to the Director, Communications – Full-time, Permanent – #19-16

Location: Edmonton

With more than 74,000 members, 4,500 permit holders, and 10 branches in Alberta, communication is a critical function of APEGA’s operation. The Executive Assistant to the Director, Communications, works within the Executive Team to maintain priorities and to stay on top of developing projects and initiatives.

Reporting to the Director, Communications, you will enhance the Director’s effectiveness by providing administrative and information management support, act as the main point of contact for the Director and liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders. You will conserve the Director's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting emails and documents; and collecting and analyzing information.

Graphic Designer – Full-time, Permanent – #19-29

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Marketing & Sponsorships Manager, this position works as part of a team of marketing and communication professionals who establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Graphic Designer provides design expertise and services to create professional visual designs (print and digital) that offer communication solutions for internal and external clients.

Professional Development Officer – Full-time, Permanent – #19-04

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Career Services Manager, the Professional Development Officer supports the Career Services Manager by overseeing the delivery of the professional development portfolio with a high degree of independence while supervising a growing team of professional development coordinators.

The Professional Development Officer is responsible for the overall professional development programming and planning cycle and will coordinate the planning and execution of APEGA’s professional development program, including annual professional development conferences. This position will also provide supervision and training to a growing team of professional development coordinators while demonstrating accurate reporting, delegation of tasks, and setting deadlines.

The Professional Development Officer will act as the main point of contact for all internal and external professional development related matters and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders while exercising sound professional judgment on an ongoing basis.

Professional Practice Review Advisor – Full-time, Permanent – #19-27

Location: Edmonton or Calgary

Reporting to the Professional Practice Review Manager, the Professional Practice Review Advisor assures that a high quality of ethical and professional practice is maintained across the professions through for the following core functions:

  • Planning of and conducting of permit holder practice reviews
  • Participating in Practice Standards and Guidelines development and refinement
  • Delivering regulatory professional development to APEGA licensed professionals, permit holders, and stakeholders

Supervisor, Membership Administrator – Full-time, Permanent – #19-28

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Director, Outreach & Product Services, the Supervisor, Membership Administrator oversees all processes related to members’ change requests according to APEGA policies, procedures, and the EGP Act, Regulations, and Bylaws. In addition, they supervise and coach the Membership Administrators to ensure they provide exceptional customer service to APEGA membership and deliver on their day-to-day responsibilities.
