Applications Administrator (1 Year Term) Full-time, Temporary – #19-20

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Supervisor, Applications Administrator, the Applications Administrator will provide knowledge and support throughout the application process and will be responsible for processing applications for membership with APEGA.

The Applications Administrator will display a strong commitment to exceptional and timely customer service to applicants during the application process and will oversee the applicant through to membership.

Centennial Research Assistant & Writer (7-Month Term) – Full-time, Temporary – #18-37

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Manager, Events & Member Recognition, the Centennial Research Assistant & Writer is a term position responsible for the research, analysis, and compilation of historical data related to APEGA’s 100-year history, as well as the composition of a variety of written pieces to support the Association's centennial activities.

Compliance Analyst – Full-time, Permanent – #19-18

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Analyst is responsible for helping to ensure all persons and companies engaged in the reserved practices of professional engineering and geoscience, holding out as able to practice, or using titles or words reserved exclusively for APEGA members are appropriately licensed or permitted to do so. The Compliance Analyst also investigates complaints involving ASET members and ASET permit holder companies who may be engaged in practice outside of their scope of practice, or using reserved titles reserved for APEGA professional members and APEGA permit holder companies.

Discipline Coordinator – Full-time, Permanent – #19-19

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Director, Enforcement, the Discipline Coordinator is responsible for coordinating discipline processes for APEGA resulting from disciplinary actions as outlined in Part 5 Discipline of the EGP Act and Part 6 of the General Regulations. This includes case management, case filing, document management, volunteer management, event and hearing coordination, statistics and metrics compilation, letter/email preparation and mail outs, minute taking and agenda preparation, preparation of presentation materials, policy and standards research and development, and stakeholder coordination, communication, and management.

Executive Assistant to the Director, Communications – Full-time, Permanent – #19-16

Location: Edmonton

With more than 74,000 members, 4,500 permit holders, and 10 branches in Alberta, communication is a critical function of APEGA’s operation. The Executive Assistant to the Director, Communications, works within the Executive Team to maintain priorities and to stay on top of developing projects and initiatives.

Reporting to the Director, Communications, you will enhance the Director’s effectiveness by providing administrative and information management support, act as the main point of contact for the Director and liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders. You will conserve the Director's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting emails and documents; and collecting and analyzing information.

Marketing & Sponsorships Manager – Full-time, Permanent – #19-14

Location: Edmonton

This position will help shape APEGA’s emerging brand presence and external relations portfolio and is a key position that will play a critical role in support and execution of APEGA’s external relations strategy. The Marketing & Sponsorships Manager will focus significantly on APEGA’s partnership and sponsorship portfolio, as well as external marketing, advertising, and public relations initiatives.

Regulatory Affairs Advisor – Full-time, Permanent – #19-17

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Director, Regulatory Affairs, the Regulatory Affairs Advisor is responsible for supporting programs and projects within the Regulatory Affairs Department, the day-to-day management and oversight of APEGA’s Joint Boards and Committees, and leading and delivering the internal regulatory audit process for all key statutory boards' and committees' processes and procedures. This position also serves as backfill, as required, to the Regulatory Affairs Manager.

Social Media Specialist – Full-time, Permanent – #19-15

Location: Edmonton

Social media has evolved beyond an outlet to post status updates and photos of food. Promoting events, sharing opportunities, monitoring trends, and encouraging organic engagement are vital strategies for businesses looking to make the most of their social media platforms. A savvy social media specialist knows the power that a well-crafted post can command, and we’re looking for you!

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Communications, the Social Media Specialist is an expert of the online community who can create, develop, and execute APEGA’s social media strategies. The Social Media Specialist is knowledgeable in using multiple social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) to increase brand awareness and reputation with APEGA’s members, permit holders, and other stakeholders, including the public. The successful candidate works independently and collaboratively as part of a fast-moving, goal-oriented Communications team and brings a sense of fun and excitement to their day-to-day activities.

Systems Analyst – Full-time, Permanent – #19-13

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, the Systems Analyst position ensures the secure, stable, and reliable operation of all IT applications in use at APEGA.  This position is responsible for both technical assistance and support, along with business needs analysis and collaboration with business leaders to prioritize IT application changes.
