Administrative Assistant to the Northern Alberta Branches – Full-time, Permanent – #18-06

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Director of Outreach & Product Services, the Administrative Assistant to the Northern Alberta Branches is responsible for acting as a liaison between APEGA and the Northern Branches. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting numerous events, ensuring the smooth delivery and execution, attending Edmonton Executive Branch Meetings, reconciling finances, and liaising with the Northern Branches to develop rapport within the community, other committees, and within the APEGA membership.

Administrative Assistant, Regulatory Affairs – Full-time, Permanent – #18-14

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Director of Regulatory Affairs, the Administrative Assistant, Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for supporting the administration of the APEGA Appeal Board and APEGA Joint Board and Committees. This will include case filing, document management, records management, event planning for committees and board meetings, completing expense reports for volunteer and staff, compiling metrics, preparing letters and mail outs, minute taking, and agenda package preparation.

This position provides secondary administrative support to the Director of Legislative Review, Senior Advisor Legislation & Regulatory Affairs and other Regulatory Affairs team members.

HR Advisor – Full-time, Permanent – #18-18

Location: Edmonton

Working within the Human Resources Department, the HR Advisor is responsible for providing subject matter expertise to the Human Resources Manager when building, strengthening, and refining the HR function. This includes assisting in the design and delivery of HR policies, procedures, and programs.

The HR Advisor actively researches, supports, develops, implements, and executes on HR initiatives and projects, including analyzing quarterly HR metrics to help drive informed decision-making within the HR department and throughout the organization. The HR Advisor also provides operational HR support and coverage for team members.

Registration Services Agent – Full-time, Temporary – #18-13

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Registration Services Manager, the Registration Services Agent provides superior customer service by serving as the first point of contact for applicants with any inquiries regarding licensure. This position is prepared to answer inquiries from a wide variety of methods, which includes: telephone calls, walk-ins, internet, e-mail and other social media outlets.

The Registration Services Agent is responsible for acquiring the knowledge of the entire Registration Department and being aware of all on goings within the department. This in-depth knowledge assists in the management of inquiries, detailed and lengthy application assistance, technical support and other specific related services as required.

The Registration Services Agent makes an important contribution to customer satisfaction by having the working depth of knowledge of all areas of APEGA to be able to provide prompt, efficient and courteous service to applicants.

Volunteer Manager – Full-time, Permanent – #18-12

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Volunteer Manager will build and maintain a successful Volunteer Management System (VMS) for APEGA. This position is responsible to ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures that are consistent with the Vision of APEGA and relate it directly to its volunteers. The Volunteer Manager is also responsible for recruitment, retention, and recognition of the volunteers, all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operations of the VMS.

APEGA's Volunteer Programs includes over 1,500 APEGA members that contribute their time, talent, and energy to APEGA on an annual basis. These volunteers are APEGA's lifeline and provide a critical service for APEGA to meet business needs and objectives.

Mentoring Coordinator – Full-time, Permanent – #18-19

Location: Edmonton

APEGA’s Mentoring Program is the planned pairing between experienced Professional Members and less-experienced Members, to support professional learning and development of our Members. A proven approach to drive rich learning and development for both mentees and mentors, APEGA’s Mentoring Program provides the opportunity for our members to learn from each other in the areas of workplace essential skills. Read more about APEGA’s Mentoring Program.

Reporting to the Career Services Manager, the Mentoring Coordinator is responsible for the administration, coordination, maintenance, and reporting of APEGA’s Mentoring Program. This position will manage the mentoring software, recruitment, on-boarding, and coaching to program participants, coordinate program events, continuously implement and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements, and develop metrics to evaluate program effectiveness.

Please note that this position may be required for some overtime for intermittent evenings and weekend events and some travel within the province is required.

Regulatory Program Manager – Full-time, Permanent – #18-21

Location: Edmonton

Reporting to the Director of Regulatory Affairs, the Regulatory Program Manager holds an important position within APEGA’s regulatory and governance framework. This role is a key contributor to the effective management of regulatory projects. The Regulatory Program Manager is the visible owner for projects undertaken to drive changes within the Regulatory Division. The Regulatory Program Manager will be the product owner and representative for the Regulatory Division ensuring that the needs of the division are being met.
