May 24—Calgary Branch Luncheon: Canadian Drilling Outlook

Join the Calgary Branch as it welcomes Kevin A. Neveu, P.Eng., President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director, Precision Drilling Corporation. Mr. Neveu will speak about technical developments, the importance of industrial scale, and the risks facing the Canadian oil and gas industry.

May 31—Calgary Branch PD Evening: Data Science and its Applications in Oil and Gas

Join Gagan Kapoor and Chris Chen, data scientists at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), for an introduction to data science, aimed at demystifying the various buzzwords associated with it. Pilot projects undertaken by the AER will be discussed in an effort to analyze subsurface data with advanced data mining techniques.

June 13—Calgary Branch PD Evening: Legends: Safe Water for the World

Join the Calgary Branch as Dave Manz, P.Eng., speaks about the academic and professional experiences that led him to create the BioSand Water Filter. By improving the design of a 150-year-old technology, he created a solution to treating drinking water in developing countries.

Salary Survey 2018

We are now accepting submissions for the 2018 APEGA Salary Survey. It’s free to participate, and participating companies receive a free copy of the report.
