Permit to Practice Seminar

This 2.5 hour seminar is on APEGA’s expectations for Permit Holders and Responsible Members. Responsible Members must attend a Permit to Practice seminar within six months of being added as a Responsible Member, and then at least once every five years. 

This seminar covers:

  • Permit to Practice administration
  • How to create and maintain a professional practice management plan
  • The roles and responsibilities of a Responsible Member
  • APEGA’s discipline and enforcement process 

Presenter Biography  

David Clarke, P.Eng.David Clarke, P.Eng. is a Professional Engineer with over 35 years' experience in automation (instrumentation, controls, and telecommunications). Since graduating from the University of Calgary in Electrical Engineering, David has worked for major operating companies both in the Alberta oilsands and in the Middle East. He worked for 20 years with a major EPC company in Calgary first as Automation Lead on major oilsands, pipeline and midstream projects, then as Automation Department Director and later as VP Engineering and Sr. Project Manager. David has significant knowledge and expertise in all aspects of engineering management, project design and implementation. David is known as an effective manager who puts people first to get exceptional results
