Permit to Practice Seminar

This 2.5 hour seminar is on APEGA’s expectations for Permit Holders and Responsible Members. Responsible Members must attend a Permit to Practice seminar within six months of being added as a Responsible Member, and then at least once every five years. 

This seminar covers:

  • Permit to Practice administration
  • How to create and maintain a professional practice management plan
  • The roles and responsibilities of a Responsible Member
  • APEGA’s discipline and enforcement process

Presenter Biography 

Dustin Baptist, P.Eng.Mr. Dustin Baptist, P.Eng., graduated from the University of Alberta in 2005 with a B.Sc. in computer engineering. Since that time, Dustin has held various positions within the electric utility industry here in Alberta, with over 8 years of that time being spent leading regional engineering activities for the power company in Grande Prairie.  Dustin has been involved several times on creating and re-writing Professional Practise Management Plans and has been operating as a Responsible Member since 2013. In his spare time Dustin is involved in woodworking and giving electricity presentations to grade 9 students.
