Volunteering | APEGA

More than 1,500 members contribute their time, talent, and energy to APEGA each year. Together we aim to advance our professions and impact the community.

APEGA's volunteers help our organization to thrive and to reach the community in ways that wouldn't be possible without your help. Whether you want to offer your help reviewing new membership applications, sharing your expertise with fellow members, or acting as a role model for children and students, we have a place for you in our volunteer program.

Some volunteer positions require selected candidates to undergo a credit and criminal background check, performed by Sterling Backcheck on behalf of APEGA. Any positions requiring these checks note this in their posting description.

Volunteer Responsibility to Log Hours

As a volunteer, it's important that you log the hours you spend volunteering for APEGA volunteer opportunities in your Member Self-Service Centre account. APEGA uses this information to generate monthly and annual reports for program planning, budgeting, and statistical information. It also enables APEGA to identify the full volunteer support of our Members, and allows us to recognize and celebrate your contributions.

Volunteer Code of Conduct

When you volunteer with APEGA, you are expected to be familiar with and follow the Volunteer Code of Conduct while representing APEGA. This code applies to all volunteer opportunities.
